called for someone elses debt

Caller asks for me by name then goes on to say he is calling to update my ex-wife on her claim status. Wouldn't say what kind of claim or how he was calling me.Would not say where he was from. Googled number and found out it's a collection agency

I redailed the number and the recording stated that this number had been disconnected.

I DID RECEIVE THE SAME CALL DUE TO I DID TOOK OUT A LOAN FROM A CASH ADVANCE & I NEVER PAID IT BACK, AND I THOUGHT ITS WAS GAME TO BUT 3 MONTHS LATER I HAD COURT DATE REGUARDING WRITING A BAD CHECK, I WAS CONVICTED & NOW IM ON SUFFERING FOR IT. I SHOULD HAVE LISTEN. IF YOU DID THE SAME THING I DID. DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO, TO GET IT CLEARED UP. YOU DONT WANT END UP LIKE ME. WITH A GET A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND

Telemarketing calling after hours and in violation of the number's Do-Not-Call governmental registration and U.S law

He called me by my first name and stated he was calling about some kind of child safety and that a friend of mine gave him my name and number!! I hung up!!

This person Id himself as Shawb Watkins/watson for a Law office.I dont owe anyone any money. but they got my cell number and my work number and call me repeatedly. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Comm. I hope this will make stop.
